Northtech Defense barrels are made complete in-house from raw materials, (Rifle Quality Metals). We are able to achieve greater accuracy and higher quality standards as a result, by refining the process. We take great pride in our in-house manufacturing processes of our barrels. Our goal has been to set the bar higher with better machining tolerances within the industry. The high-end Industry standard has typically been best of .0002 rifle bore tolerance. The custom manufacturing process that we use has been able to cut the tolerance down another 30% with custom made reamers and machining, successfully below .0001. This is due to the special tooling we have made, and with testing to confirm its success. With a rifle bore this straight allows us to cut a more accurate throat and chamber which produces a much more accurate barrel.

These barrels come: Wylde chambered for increased versatility and accuracy, headspaced to an optimum number for both .223 and 5.56.

With our Barrel extension measuring a close tolerance of .9993" - .9999" outside diameter. These are made from heat treated material, perfect fitment to the upper bore. .

Our claim is such that, you won't need a claim as we stand behind our product 100%. You will notice a huge difference in accuracy and craftsmanship.

Amazing work

I recently bought a barrel as well as some other things from there website and I have not been disappointed yet everything preforms at an extremely high level and would highly recommend them for your next build

One happy customer!

I have 2 Northtech Defense barrels, a 14.5" LW and a 12.5" standard profile, both with 223 chambers. They are both a work of art. Great design and great machining show as soon as you see their barrels and they perform as good as they look. Can't wait for my next Northtech barrel! Keep up the great work Northtech Defense!

Great product from start to finish!

First impression when I received the barrel: great packaging. Barrel was secured so it would not move around and the free swag was a great surprise bonus. Installation was simple and easy and fit exactly how it was supposed to. I was happy to see break in instructions that were easy to follow. It was also nice to understand (in the paperwork) why it is important to break in this barrel in this manner. It took a little time but I feel was well worth it. After having the barrel and shot it on my AR pistol build, it was well worth the price. Barrel is accurate and seems to do the job very well. I would recommend this barrel to anybody.

Can’t get much better

These barrels outshoot any other I have had the chance to use. Fit and finish is flawless. Consistently sub moa, 3 shot groups under a dime at 100 (yellow target). Even 10 shot groups remain close (orange target). I now have 3 of these barrels and won’t buy anything else.

Amazing Barrel!

Dustin and his crew are great to work with. I must say that I am very impressed with the quality of this barrel. I used a Northtech billet matched set and this 2 tone 16" barrel. After the break-in, I sat down to sight the rifle in. I shot a 5 round group that had all 5 rounds thru the same hole at 100 yards. Needless to say that I was blown away. I will say that any further builds will only use Northtech barrels. Great job!

18 inch tow-tone fluted

My first experience with Northtech Defense was with their billet AR15 lower. The quality was superb and is one of my favorite lowers I own. Initially when I received the lower, it was missing the bolt release screw. I had bought it from an online dealer and not directly through Northtech. I first heard about their barrels when I had called Northtech about the missing screw. They shipped the screw immediately and in the process of talking about the lower, they mentioned that they were transitioning into precision barrels. At the moment I wasn’t in the market for one but recently, I had decided to upgrade my current barrel to a precision barrel. I called Northtech to hear more about their barrels. They spent over half an hour on the phone answering all my questions and at the end of it, I decided to purchase their 18inch fluted, two-tone barrel. It arrived quickly and did it look amazing! The two-tone accent looks awesome and I couldn’t find a single flaw on the coating nor the steel. Dustin at Northtech had assured me it will shoot sub MOA and I don’t doubt it for a second. They also assured me that they will take care of any issues if they come up, which again, I doubt I will have any issues but it’s nice to know I will be taken care of if it does. I haven’t got the chance to go test it yet but I’m not worried that it will perform amazingly. I highly recommend Northtech Defense, for their attention to detail but also for their customer service.

Excellent Barrel

Purchased: Two-Tone 16" Excellent Barrel, definitely one of if not the best barrel on the market for an advanced AR-15 Build. Would recommend the barrel to anyone who wants nothing less than the best.

I shot out my Shilen .223 barrel a few months ago and it was time to replace it. I am very picky when it comes to accuracy and that Shilen barrel up until the point that I shot it out was probably the most accurate .223 barrel in my arsenal. Logic told me to replace it with another Shilen, but after talking to Dustin at Northtech I figured I’d give them a try. I had heard through the grapevine that Dustin is a barrel wizard and my curiosity got the best of me so I ordered one up. The barrel came in the mail in a timely fashion for being something that they didn’t already have in stock. When I got barrel first thing I noticed was that it is a work of art. Beautiful and flawless in two tone.....Now the important part of this review! The barrel shoots lights out! Already shooting .25 MOA and it’s not even broke in yet. My experience from beginning to end with Northtech has been top notch and I recommend Northtech barrels to any precision shooter who demands the best! Dustin truly is a barrel wizard and I will continue to do business with Northtech in the future.

My husband has been in law enforcement for 29 years and prior to that in the military. His expertise is shooting as he was a member of the departments swat team for 26 years and a firearms instructor for 28 years. The quality of the barrels, uppers and lowers he has received to build his AR 15's surpasses anything he has worked with before. The North Tech barrels are the most accurate he has ever shot on the AR platform. Highly Recommend North Tech to anyone looking for a quality product.

BARRELS

After a ton of research I bought a barrel from Northtech years ago, and when I finally got around to installing it and I had a minor issue. Went to the shop and asked them if they could help me out....they looked over the old style of barrel and decided to replace it with a new style barrel. Northtech Defense has been at the top of my list of manufacturers and the quality of the product coupled with the kind of support they gave me as a customer guarantees that I will be a return customer for years to come! Great people, can't wait to see what they come out with next.
